Customers should be able to choose how they are served. The F-25 brings our AI, analytics, and accessibility into the branch, merging the digital and physical visit into one cohesive experience.”

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Wavetec, a global customer experience technology company with more than 30,000 installations across 80+ countries, today announced the worldwide availability of the F-25 Kiosk family featuring the 12-inch F-25 and the 19-inch F-25 Plus. Designed as the physical front door to a modern customer experience, the new kiosks give banks, government agencies, healthcare providers, telecom operators and retailers a self-service touchpoint that is accessible by design, ready for AI-powered interaction, and connected to the same customer journey that starts on a phone, a website or WhatsApp.

A modern queue management experience starts with choice

Customers no longer arrive at a branch the same way. Some book online, some join a virtual queue on WhatsApp, some use a mobile app, and many still walk in, often for the interactions that matter most. A modern queue management system has to serve all of them as one journey, and it has to work for everyone, including people with visual, hearing or mobility impairments and those who simply prefer human help.

Accessibility has also become a legal baseline. In the European Union, the European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025 to self-service terminals such as ticketing and check-in machines placed on the market, requiring features such as personal headset support and tactile controls. In the United States and Canada, the ADA and AODA set comparable expectations for public-facing service points.

Built for accessibility, AI and secure self-service

The F-25 family is engineered for high-volume enterprise environments and can be configured module by module to each organization’s workflow:

Continuous ticketing with dual printers (F-25 Plus): two 80mm thermal printers work as a pair. When one paper roll runs out, the kiosk automatically switches to the second, so ticket issuance continues instead of stopping and creating a queue in front of the kiosk. In busy DMVs, hospitals and bank branches, that means no downtime at the moment demand peaks.

Accessibility by design: optional features aligned with ADA, AODA and EAA requirements, including a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio instructions and tactile buttons with embossed symbols for print and volume control, so visually impaired customers can complete their journey independently.

KYC and Identity and check-in, the way each customer prefers: an optional 1D/2D barcode and QR reader for appointment and virtual-queue check-in, a 500 DPI fingerprint reader with 0.2–0.5 second capture, and a manual/dip EMV chip-card reader (ISO 7816) for organizations that still rely on card-based identification.

Ready for facial recognition, voice and AI avatars: an optional 5MP dual-lens IR/WDR camera with liveness detection and night vision, and on the F-25 Plus an optional four-microphone array with directional pickup and AI noise cancellation, designed for voice interaction,Wavetec’s Nexia Avatar and banking standard KYC capabilities

Windows 11 Pro at the core: an Intel Core platform running Windows 11 Pro lets enterprise IT teams manage, secure and update the kiosk with the same tools and policies they already use across their device estate, with Gigabit Ethernet and optional Wi-Fi 6E.

Fast, responsive and on-brand: 12-inch or 19-inch capacitive multi-touch displays (up to 10 touch points) allow for industry leading UI and UX.

From DMVs to hospital self check-in

Wavetec designed the F-25 for the environments where waiting is most visible. In public services, Wavetec already supports driver-licensing and motor-vehicle operations such as Ontario’s DriveTest network and 44 DMV stations in Tennessee, where appointment check-in, barcode scanning and accessible self-service are daily requirements. In healthcare, the F-25 platform can be extended into a hospital self check-in kiosk, combining Know Your Patient (KYP), appointment check-in and an integrated POS terminal for co-payments and fees, so patients can register and pay in one step before reaching the front desk.

The physical front door to the Nexia family

The F-25 is designed to work with Nexia, Wavetec’s family of AI products for customer experience. Nexia Vision can recognize a returning or priority customer at the kiosk and route them before they queue; Nexia Avatar can guide customers by voice and hand off to a person with context attached. Every interaction feeds Wavetec’s Spectra 2.0 forecasting and simulation engine, Nexia Reports and the recently announced Nexia Consultant, which turns that operational data into recommendations on staffing, routing and service levels.

Four decades of customer flow at global scale

Wavetec has managed customer flow since 1986. Its hardware and software are designed and built in-house, and its platforms serve organizations including Banorte (1,220 branches in Mexico), HSBC, Swiss Post, Ontario’s DriveTest, CalPERS, Delta Air Lines, Al Rajhi Bank, and KCB. Wavetec operates under ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II security standards.

The F-25 and F-25 Plus are available worldwide now. Organizations can learn more at www.wavetec.com or explore the Nexia family at nexia.wavetec.com.
